Big Lottery Funds Boosting Bingo Halls

There may not be a direct correlation in competition for the two but there is no doubt that the two entities represent a rival for the disposable income of a potential bingo player. Yes, the odds on winning the bingo game are much more in favour of the player but it is the tantalising prospect of the big money prize that will grab many people’s attention.

A great example of a community group being supported by the Big Lottery Fund has been their recent Energy Efficient Campaign. This has saw many group being awarded funds to make their halls more efficient, saving costs and making the place a nicer place to spend some time. Over £55,000 has been pledged to groups and in Banbridge, Northern Ireland; one club has received over £20,000 to make their hall more energy efficient. The big winners of this funding have been the local bingo players, who have been turning out in big numbers since the money was awarded. Being able to play in a nice atmosphere is obviously great news for bingo players and it seems that everyone has been a winner with this lottery game!
